Presenting the cheque, Mr Peprah said since the government alone  could not support all sporting disciplines, there was the need for corporate bodies to assist national teams to motivate them to excel.

He said the efforts made by the National Paralympic Team in disability sports had created a positive image for Ghana across the world,  which needs to be sustained.

Mr Peprah expressed appreciation to the Okyeame Foundation for identifying the talents and skills of the players and developing a strategy to help them reach their dream of making Ghana, their families and themselves proud.

Okyeame Kwame, the Head of the Okyeame Foundation, told the Daily Graphic  the team would be presented with the funds before leaving for the paralympic qualifiers in the United States of America later this month.

He indicated that the funds would help to finance the team's airfares, medical and hotel bills and some kits for training.
