This follows the call by Sector Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye for the re-introduction of banned duo Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng back into the team.

According to them inviting Muntari, who was sanctioned together with attacker Prince Boateng in 2014 during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil would generate new enthusiasm into the team.

They told the Graphic Sports in separate interviews that Muntari who is now clubless will be paramount for the Stars victory at AFCON 2017 come January in Gabon.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports, the President of Die-Hard Supporters Union, Abraham Nkansah alias Apuirugu Tsakapama noted that Muntari is now a repented soul and must be accepted back.

According to him, the 32-year-old ace left-footer has apologised to all he offended including Moses Armah, CEO of Medeama and the GFA.

“I know Sulley from childhood and in school when we attended Osei Kyeretwrie Senior High together and I can say for a fact that he is a changed man now”, Mr Nkansah told this paper.

Another soccer fan and serial caller, Dr Seidu Adams told this paper that the player can ensure that the team can win its first African title in over 30 years.

“Sulley is a great player and very efficient, I believe we should call him back and listen to the various supporters unions calling and urging for his comeback”.
