Ghana’s mixed doubles pair, Michael Yeboah and Emerald Bortey, have made a strong impression at the 2025 African Youth Championships in Luanda, Angola, advancing to the quarter-finals with a series of commanding performances.
Competing in Group 7, the duo displayed composure and consistency, recording emphatic 2–0 victories over Zambia and Mauritius to finish among the top two teams and progress to the knockout stage.
They maintained their momentum in the round of 16, where they secured another convincing 2–0 win over Zimbabwe to book their place in the quarter-finals.
With their confidence growing, Yeboah and Bortey continue to carry Ghana’s hopes as the championships progress in Luanda.
