However, Ghana's Black Stars, who dropped in the July rankings, have moved up again, this time two places, to finish 36th in the world and

Algeria, who played in the round of 32 at the World Cup and jumped to Africa's number one, retain their position both on the continent and in the world as their 24th position remained unchanged.

Cote d'Ivoire are in second place at 25th and second in Africa with Nigeria, third at the 33rd position. Ghana come in fifth in Africa with their latest position and are followed by Egypt (38th), Tunisia (42nd) and Cameroun (54th).

World champions, Germany, remain at the first position, with Argentina, the Netherlands, Colombia, Belgium, Uruguay, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland and France completing the top 10.
