Hearts financially sound than ever — Nyaho

A board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, is rubbishing suggestions that the club is in dire financial situation and cannot not pay their players.

He argued that the Phobians were in a better financial situation than any other club in the country because of the support of their board chairman, Togb Afede XIV.

"At the moment the club is financially sound so the question of the boys (players) not being paid is all rubbish", Dr Tamakloe stressed in an interview with the Graphic Sports last Monday.

His comments came barely a week after head coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, wrote on his facebook page that he had to turn down an attempt to pay his salary because of the club’s indebtedness to his players.

"I don't believe there is any club in this country which is better organised financially than Accra Hearts of Oak and lots of credit must go to the chairman of the board”, Dr Tamakloe stated.

He promised massive upgrade of the club’s infrastructure in the coming years with the club’s training grounds at Pobiman scheduled to undergo a facelift in the coming months.

Dr Tamakloe praised the team for their hard work and determination during their matches and was proud about their resilience.
