Enoch Ebo Andoh — Scored Meteors’ lone goal

Is Le Roy father of Meteors’ players? — Asks Coach Malik

Black Meteors coach, Malik Jabir, has hit back at Coach Claude Le Roy and challenged him to provide evidence for his age-cheating allegations levelled against Ghana.

In his anger, Coach Jabir sarcastically questioned the Frenchman as to whether he gave birth to the accused players.

Le Roy at a press briefing after his side had lost 1-0 to the Meteors last Saturday alleged that Jabir's side included players who were above the approved age of 23.

However, Coach Jabir suggested that the Congolese coach should rather focus on the ages of players in his team than the Ghana team.

"What about his? Is he the one who born the Ghanaians? He should peddle with his team," the 70-year-old told the Graphic Sports after last Monday's training session.

He continued, "Why didn't he post the reserve? just ask him that. He should have posted the reserve. And what about his players? Does he know what we think about them; that is my question."

Coach Jabir also insisted that his side deserved victory after an impressive game last Saturday.

"They were equally a good side, don't think we just had novices and we couldn't score. You saw their game and they were also up to the task. So it was impressive, that's why we won."
