It’s over for injured Adubea

Princella Adubea has been diagnosed with a knee injury that will keep her out of action for a few months and has thus been ruled out of the rest of Ghana’s campaign  at the U-17 FIFA Women's World Cup (WWC) in Costa Rica.

The Ghana attacker came out worse with a knee injury from a heavy challenge during the Black Maidens' last group game against Canada last Saturday.

Ghana team doctor, Mabel Aboah confirmed  last Monday evening that Adubea, who plays for Techman-based Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the National Women’s League,  is expected to be out for a few months. Dr Aboah, however, ruled out surgery to repair the damage.

Adubea, who is playing in a WWC for the first time, on the bench during the North Korea and Germany games but was in the starting line up against Canada and her injury compelled Coach Evans Adotey to substitute her with Sandra Owusu-Ansah who scored the consolation in the 1-2 result.
