He said boxing, for instance, had to be accorded special attention because it had lots of prospects for the nation.

Mr Adjei made the paledge when the management of Box Office Sports Promotion (BOSP), organisers of the much-publicised fight between Braimah Kamoko Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers paid a courtesy call on the board of KCL.

The purpose of the visit was for the promoters  to interact with the board of KCL since the company is the lead sponsor of the fight.

Although Powers was absent as a result of his purported travel to visit his “spiritual father” in Nigeria, Bukom Banku, on the other hand, stormed the premise of KCL with a host of supporters.

On the fight, Mr Adjei advised Bukom Banku and Powers to abide by the tenets of boxing as a sport and do away with any form of dirty rivalry, irrespective of the outcome of the bout.

He also commended the organisers of the fight for the initiative and said, “this bout has the tendency to attract the attention of the outside world.”

Responding, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Boxing Office Promotion, Mr Alex Ntiamoah, said the huge investment made by KCL was as a result of the high profile nature of the bout and pledged his outfit's commitment to provide boxing fans a memorable night.
