Medeama hold Kotoko in Kumasi
Medeama SC yesterday staged a spirited performance when they twice came from behind to hold Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a 2-2 drawn game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Bennett Ofori sent the home fans agog in the first half when he punished Medeama for a defensive howler, but a spectacular free-kick by Malik Akowuah later drew the visitors’ level before the interval.
The second half saw a difficult game for both sides who played cautiously and but once again a poor clearance by the Medeama defence saw the ball hit against Michael Yeboah into the net to put Kotoko in front. Bismark Oppong equalised later from a wonderful volley outside the edge of the Kotoko penalty box.
At Tema, Dreams FC split the points with Inter Allies in a 2-2 drawn game that saw a heavy attendance, including Black Stars coach, Avram Grant.
