Minister lauds Taekwando Federation

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Mustapha Ahmed, has lauded the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) and the West African Mission (WAM) Taekwondo Academy for promoting the sport in the country

The WAM has  built a gymnasium to help train athletes in the sport and has since been involved in training officials to manage the sport. 

Closing an Instructor Licence Course for 24 participants,  Dr Ahmed said: “I congratulate you all for undertaking the course which will help you to train others.

“I urge you all to be key in the development of the sport in the country as you receive your certificates from the course,” he added.

Meanwhile, the president of the GTF, Frederick Otu Lartey, has  disclosed that, the course would continue every six months till next year.

He said that, from next year, only licensed coaches would be eligible to teach the sport in the country.
