MTN FA Cup: Dreams FC secure narrow win over Heart of Lions
Former MTN FA Cup champions, Dreams FC, wobbled into the Round of 32 stage of the competition yesterday, courtesy a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over visiting Heart of Lions at their adopted Tuba Astro Turf Park.
Having been forced to a barren draw in regulation time, Dreams FC needed a face-saver to placate the livid home fans and Yaw Danso and Ishmael Addo offered that lifeline on a platter to end Lions' knockout dreams.

On the flip side, Skipper Joseph Esso, Derrick Atta Agyei, Isaac Yaro and Ebenezer Adade converted their kicks to keep the FA Cup dream alive.
Before referee Yakubu Hashim invoked the shootout lottery, both teams had sold out a great game to deserve a win within 90 minutes.
While the visitors, led by veteranCoach Bashir Hayford, were just unlucky to seal their impressive display with goals, Dreams FC typically squandered their chances with glee.
Especially in the second half, the impatient home fans began to yell at the players with the hope of getting at least a goal, but that still could not make any difference.
Chelsea win
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea breezed into the next stage of the MTN FA Cup with an overwhelming 6-0 victory over second-tier side Boresa FC Yapei at the Golden City Park yesterday.
The Premier League outfit delivered a clinical performance, spearheaded by Prince Anane’s hat trick, Marvin Owusu’s brace, and Kofi Patrick Ansu’s early strike.

Ansu opened the scoring in the ninth minute, setting the tone for a dominant display. Prince Anane doubled the lead in the 25th minute before Marvin Owusu added two quick goals in the 34th and 44th minutes.
Anane further compounded Boresa FC’s woes with his second goal on the stroke of halftime, sending Chelsea into the break with an unassailable 5-0 lead.
Despite a more subdued second-half approach, Berekum Chelsea maintained control, and Anane completed his hat trick in the 71st minute, sealing the emphatic win and extinguishing any hopes of a comeback from the visitors.
