Para cycling confident of medal
Ghana's para cycling team would begin its quest for a medal today when it competes in the 100m heat at the ongoing All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.
The team is scheduled to perform in the two-heat event in the T54 to qualify for the final which is also scheduled later today.
Botsyo Nkegbe, who disclosed this to the Graphic Sports last Saturday ahead of their race today, said they were in high spirits considering how much they had prepared for the competition and were expected to do well.
"We have prepared well and moral in camp is very high awaiting the competition in the T54 category”, Botsyo said and asked for support from Ghanaians to ensure they brought honours to the country.

The team will also compete in the 800m race which comes off tomorrow and Botsyo was optimistic about Ghana's chances and said he was determined to see the country win at least a medal from either of the race.
He said although they were yet to know their opponents because the organisers had not completed the classification of the athletes and countries that were making their debut in the competition, they were ready to take on anyone.
Currently Botsyo, McClean Atsu Dzidzienyo and Yakubu Abukari are the para cyclists drawn from the Go Get Them Wheelchair Racing Club to be part of the team and Botsyo was thankful to GCB High Street branch in Accra and Danny Nii Mensah of the Yakdan Shipping Company for their support during their preparation for the competition.
