The Black Queens are already in Tunis preparing to play their Tunisian counterparts on Wednesday in the first leg then return home to play the second leg in Accra on Tuesday, instead of the April 23/24 schedule.

Despite the change in the schedule, Coach Yussif Basigi insists it will not affect his team's performance as they are poised to pick the ticket for the tournament in Cameroun in October. "The change will not affect us in anyway as I told the ladies we were likely to have a similar programme as the men in the qualifiers, so we psyched ourselves for that and we are ready for the tie. "Being in Tunis early has given us the time to settle down and we are ready for Wednesday.

We are hoping for a very good result. Thankfully, the weather has been good and the girls are match ready. "We are hoping for a very good result to make the return leg a mere formality," Coach Basigi told the Graphic Sports

Queens captain, Mercy Myles is also optimistic of a good result as qualifying for the AWC will serve as compensation for missing out on the 2016 Olympic Games. "Missing out on the Olympic Games to Cameroun in the way it happened has been disappointing, so qualifying for the AWC will make up for the miss.

We're ready to win and will give off our best," Myles said. After Wednesday's game, the Queens return to Accra on Friday to prepare for next Tuesday's second leg.
