Rugby: Sharks, Hurricanes in big wins

The outstanding matches in the ongoing Senior Rugby 15s League between Accra Sharks and Mfantadisc RFC and the other between Dansoman Hurricanes and Black Panthers were played last Saturday at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.

The first match between Accra Sharks and Mfantadisc ended 12-0 in favour of Accra Sharks as they managed two tries and one conversion, while the second match also ended 12-0 in favour of Dansoman Hurricanes against Black Panthers.

In an earlier game, Legon Titans thrashed Aggreguaa by 66 to 0, pushing Titans to the top of the league table, with Idas Sports and Cosmos Buffalos in close second and third respectively, separated only by the superior goal rule.

Regular league action will resume on Saturday, January 25, at the Adisadel Schools and Colleges Park in Cape Coast, which will see Cosmos Buffalos RFC battle Idas Sports RFC, Dansoman Hurricanes RFC engage Mfantsidisc RFC, Oguaaman Ocean Warriors RFC play Abura Bombers RFC, Aggrey Oguaa RFC versus Black Panthers RFC, and Accra Sharks RFC lock horns with Legon Titans RFC.
