The Black Satellites of Ghana failed to qualify for the 2017 African Youth Championship in Zambia after they were knocked out by Senegal on a 3-2 goal aggregate despite a 1-0 win on Friday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Charles Boateng's goal was not enough for the Satellites who failed to overturn a 3-1 deficit at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani's side, had in their ranks talented youngsters such as Dauda Mohammed, Yaw Yeboah and Charles Boateng but they were unable to get a vital second goal which would have seen them progress on the away goals rule.
The result means the 2009 World and African U-20 Champions will not be at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Korea.
