The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player, who joined the Premier League debutants this season could not command a regular place in the team, making just one appearance in the 11-week-old competition.

Last week, in a mutual agreement with the management of the club, Smallboy prematurely terminated his two-year contract to enable him move on with his career.

A statement signed by the club’s Administrative Manager, Mohammed Ammenu Shardow said, “we would have wished to retain Smallboy Korbah but his lack of first team opportunities has been weighing on all of us. He is a fine player but perhaps has been unlucky at this club”.

“At Dreams, we care about the future of everyone and it is the reason why sadly we reached an agreement mutually with the consent of the player to cancel the contract”, the letter further stated.

When the Graphic Sports contacted the player, he confirmed leaving the club last week, saying he was confident the decision would favour his career.

The centre-back  was not disappointed, saying he does not bear management or any of his teammates a grudge since the decision to quit was mutual.

“I don’t have any problem with anyone. May be in future, I will come back to work for them but right now I want to move on,” he said.
