The clash at the Accra Sports Stadium serves as a farewell game by the national team for their teeming fans, with Appiah promising at a press-conference yesterday to give all invited players a run-out.

Organisers of the match, Primeval Consult, announced that Friday’s game would adhere to the ban on noise-making and also afford young fans of the national team photo opportunities with members of the provisional World Cup squad.

The Stars depart Accra for Amsterdam on May 24 for training and a friendly match with The Netherlands on May 31 at the De Kuip Arena in Rotterdam.
