Talal appointed Secretary General of African Minigolf Federation
The African Minigolf Sport Federation (AMSF) has appointed Mr Talal Fattal as the Secretary General of the continental body at the first African Minigolf summit held in Kenya, with delegates from several African countries in attendance.

Chaired by Dr Gerhard Zimmerman of Germany, president of World Minigolf Federation (WMF), and Mr Wycliffe Ngoya, president of AMSF, Mr Fattal was confirmed as the continental body's top administrator with the African Minigolf Federation headquarters now located in Ghana for the next four years. Also, Accra was awarded rights to host the maiden African Minigolf Championships in 2018.
Group Chairman of Global Village Media Group, which operates Metro TV & Accra Great Olympics FC with other shareholders, Mr Fattal is also the president of the Ghana Minigolf Federation which was formally launched in Accra last Thursday by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
Also appointed was Mr Fadi Fattal of Global Village Group, who becomes the continental body’s Media and Marketing Director with Mr Alain Vignard named as the Sports Director.
After last Thursday's inauguration, Mr Fattal told the Daily Graphic that as the AMSF Secretary General, he felt a sense of responsibility to ensure the rapid growth of the sports across Africa by working closely with other national African federation executives.
The Ghana Minigolf Federation (GMF), he noted, was to oversee the successful hosting of the second African Minigolf Delegates Summit and the first African Minigolf Championships, both to be held in Accra in 2018.
"This is a fine opportunity for Ghana to be at the centre of the development of minigolf on the continent and I feel a sense of responsibility to play an important role to help achieve our goals.
"We have in place plans for the construction of minigolf courses across Ghana and make the sport very competitive and appealing.
"With the formal launch of the Ghana Minigolf federation, we're now embarking on a membership drive with a promotional campaign,” he added.
