Techiman City plead for more time
Newly promoted Premier League side, Techiman City Football Club, have appealed to the Premier League Board (PLB) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to give them a special dispensation to register some additional players to enable them be make a debut in the league.

After months of legal tussle, the Techiman-based club were cleared and declared the legitimate champions of Zone Three of the Division One League and thus qualified to play in this season's Premier League.
However, uncertain of what their fate would be in the legal case, TCFC though beat the January 20 registration deadline, could not make any strong recruitment and are thus asking the special dispensation from the FA to beef up their squad.
The President of the club Charles Kojo Ntim told the Graphic Sports in an exclusive interview that their joy of qualifying for the Premier League would be complete if the FA granted their request.
"Everyone know what we went through so far as being given the green light was concerned. We are no doubt happy that we made it. However, we would want to appeal to the FA to consider giving us some more time to be able to register a few more players to beef up team.
"Yes we beat the deadline, but there is no doubt that all the other teams who were settled have had an advantage and that could affect our campaign," Ntim, popularly known as Micky Charles, said.
He also called for financial support for the club to enable them, to do well as the cost of running a Premier League club was far more than the expenses of running a Division One League club.
Techiman City topped Zone I and would join Ebusua Dwarfs and Dreams FC as promoted clubs for the new season despite the match-fixing case against them.

Eager to get the league underway, the PLB agreed to allow the debutants to take part in the league while the deliberations on their case continue.
Techiman City FC is scheduled to meet the Ghana FA Ethics Committee over allegations that they paid bribes to beat WA African United during their Division One campaign.
