Tennis stars gear up for Accra Seniors Open

All is set for the 13th edition of the Accra Seniors Open Tennis Championship scheduled for the Accra Lawn Tennis Club from November 19 to  29.

According to Peter Annan, the event coordinator,  the championship is expected to attract a number of tennis players within the Greater Accra region and its environs.

Speaking to Graphic Sports in an interview, he said combatants between the ages of 30 and 70  would  compete in men’s singles  and doubles, as well as the ladies singles and doubles.

He said registration of the event which is underway would end on November 15 with the draw taking place the following day.

According to Mr. Annan, players can only register for two different events  and matches would begin from 4pm to 8pm daily except Saturdays and Sundays when matches start at 8.am.

This year’s tourney is sponsored by Japan Motors, Inesfly Africa,Voltic, MTN, All Afra Electricals, UT Bank, Athlantic Group, Akai House, and CDH.
