Tony Baffoe, Appiah inspire Liberty

Players of Liberty Professionals were given a boost last Wednesday with the presence of two former Black Stars players, Tony Baffoe and Stephen Appiah, who visited their training grounds to encourage the players ahead of their league campaign

The visit was intended to discuss issues relating to self-motivation and the implementation of the insurance scheme, as part of efforts to raise the standard of the league.

It was part of an outreach programme by the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG).

The PFAG before the commencement of this year’s Premier League had visited the camp of Sekondi Hasaacas, following reports that their players had embarked on a strike and had not been paid outstanding salaries and bonuses since last season.

Baffoe intervened and persuaded striking players of Hasaacas to return to work after they boycotted training barely three days to the start of the league over unpaid bonuses.

Liberty Professionals welcome Inter Allies in a regional derby at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman on Sunday.
