Chiewah, late entrants in the Women’s Zonal Championship, picked up one of the three slots for the northern zone after their 1-0 win over Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies in the final-day matches in Tamale.

Indeed, the final day of the competition produced some thrills as the six teams secured their slots in this year's NWL.

Northern Ladies left no one in doubt about their qualification as they finished on top of their group with a 5-0 win against Obuasi Subayo Ladies in their final game.

Despite the loss, Subayo Ladies picked up the second spot to also qualify for the NWL.  Highly tipped Fiapre Future Ladies failed to make it despite beating Bolga Sharp Arrows 3-1 .

In the southern zone at Tema, favourites, Halifax had to fight from two first half goals down to beat Haasport 3-2 to qualify alongside Bafana Ladies and Samaria Ladies.

Samaria Ladies beat Redeemed Sisters 2-0, while Bafana maintained their unbeaten run in the competition with a 3-0 win against Volta Mighty Breakers.

The six qualified teams will immediately begin their preparations towards the NWL, which is scheduled to start in April.
