Cameroun defeated hosts Morocco 3-1 on penalties to book a place in the final of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 on Wednesday night at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
The Cameronians secured their place in the final after the match ended goalless in regulation time, with the tie ultimately decided by a penalty shootout.
Cameroon will now face Malawi in the final after the Scorchers defeated Algeria 3-1 in the other semi-final to reach their first-ever WAFCON final.
Michaely Bihina was the heroine as the Cameroon goalkeeper saved a penalty in extra time and three more spot-kicks in the shootout.
The 22-year-old denied Fatima Tagnaout from 12 yards in the 118th minute to ensure the match in Rabat remained goalless after 120 minutes.
Bihina then brilliantly saved efforts from Kenza Chappelle, Maryame Atiq and Sakina Ouzraoui in the shootout, leaving the Moulay Hassan Stadium in stunned silence.
