Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says he is in good physical condition to hit the ground running at his new club UD Las Palmas. The 25-year-old joins the promoted La Liga side on a one-year loan deal from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso has been handed the no.12 jersey at his new club. He will be making a return to Spain where he previously played for Espanyol.
The hard-working midfielder says he is in the best physical shape to start work right away at Las Palmas having completed pre-season training with Rubin.
“I consider being here as a good moment in my career. I’ve come to help the club,” he said.
“I am determined to excel. I arrive in good shape as I had the pre-season with my former team.
“I play in any position on the field and hope I can help the team excel.”
Having finalised the deal, Wakaso will today travel to Brazzaville to join the national team, the Black Stars who are playing Congo’s national team in a friendly tonight before their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda this weekend.
