Abigail Cudjoe named Overall Best Graduating Student at 2026 CITG graduation

The Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG), has named Abigail Cudjoe as Overall Best Graduating Student at its 2026 graduation ceremony, adding another national honour to a growing collection that already includes the top prize at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, examination.

The ceremony, held on Saturday, 30th May 2026, at the University of Professional Studies in Accra, conferred national awards across all twelve papers of the CITG qualification, recognising the leading candidate in each subject from the February 2026 examinations. Cudjoe received the Institute's highest distinction from CITG President, Ernestina Christina Appiah.

Cudjoe's achievement extends well beyond the top prize. She also won the award for Advanced Taxation and Practice and shared the award for Tax Administration & Ethics with Abraham Gozah, taking three national awards in a single sitting. Her record now includes being named National Overall Best Graduating Chartered Accountant at the March 2024 Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, examination.

MSL Business School students dominate final level

Four of the winners – Abigail Cudjoe, Eric Ofosu, Richard Sasu and Abraham Gozah – prepared at MSL Business School and accounted for six of the awards between them. Eric Ofosu won Strategic Tax Planning, Richard Sasu took International Taxation, and Abraham Gozah shared Tax Administration & Ethics with Cudjoe.

Across the three final-level papers – Strategic Tax Planning, Advanced Taxation and Practice, and Tax Administration & Ethics – every award went to one of the four MSL Business School students.

Full national honour roll

CITG recognised the best-performing candidate in each paper, together with the Overall Best Graduating Student:

Strategy & Governance – Emmanuel Abakah

Tax Audit and Special Investigation – Sylvanus Akutam

A wider distinction

Emmanuel Abakah also earned recognition, winning both Indirect Taxation and Strategy & Governance, making him one of the few candidates to take two paper awards in the same examination sitting.

The paper prizes, however, formed only a small part of the day. The ceremony honoured a full graduating class drawn from across the country, the great majority of whom graduated without an individual award. The honour roll named the leaders in each subject, but the graduation belonged to everyone who completed the qualification.

Congratulations from MSL Business School

The Founder of MSL Business School, Michael Siaw Larbi, expressed pride in his students and gratitude to the Institute.

"I am deeply proud of Abigail, Eric, Abraham and Richard, and of every student who graduated in Accra this weekend. Results like these belong first to the students and the work they put in; the achievement is theirs. We are grateful to the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana, for recognising their effort," he said.
