St. John’s Hospital and Fertility Centre has been recognised with two prestigious honours at the 2025 National Governance and Business Leadership Awards, cementing its reputation as one of Ghana’s leading healthcare facilities.
The institution clinched the Industry Leadership Award – Healthcare, while its Chief Executive Officer, Dr Maame Yaa Afriye, was named Ultimate Woman of the Year – Healthcare at a ceremony held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel and Accra City Hotel on August 29.
The double recognition celebrates St. John’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, ethical healthcare practices, and quality customer engagement. The facility, which operates 24/7, offers a wide range of services including general practice, dentistry, eye care, homecare, obstetrics, dermatology and urology.
Dr Afriye, who has spearheaded the hospital’s transformation, said the awards underscored the centre’s mission to deliver responsible and people-centred healthcare.
“This recognition reaffirms our dedication to responsible healthcare for all stakeholders and customer-centric services. We will continue to enhance our services to meet global standards while maintaining the trust of our clients,” she stated.
