He said the company firmly believes in the transformative power of education, adding that its operations at Chirano and Bibiani were more than just mining activities.

“They represent our dedication to fostering sustainable development and creating opportunities for the youth in our communities.

“By investing in education, we invest in the future, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive innovation and progress,” he said.

Mr Yamoah was speaking at the Asante Gold Ogyeahoho Science and Technology Fair for Basic Senior High School students in the Western North Region.

Quoting Albert Eisenstein, he said education was not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.

He said science and technology were at the heart of this progress.

“They shape the world we live in, influence our daily lives, and drive economic growth,” he said.

Remarkable potential
Mr Yamoah said the science and technology fair was a testament to the remarkable potential within the students.

He said it was a platform for the students to showcase their creativity, ingenuity, and problem-solving skills.

“More importantly, it is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired by the endless possibilities that science and technology offer.

“As you explore the various exhibits and engage in exciting experiments, I encourage you to think beyond the classroom. Consider how the principles you learn here can be applied to solve real-world challenges,” he stated.

He said science was a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.

“Whether it's in healthcare, environmental sustainability, engineering, or information technology, your contributions can make a significant difference.

At Asante Gold Corporation, our mission goes beyond mining—we aim to build stronger communities, foster educational excellence, and inspire future leaders,” he noted.

He said the science fair was just one of the many initiatives it supports to achieve these goals.
