The bank, which used to concentrate its services in urban cities, currently has 23 branches across the country.

“Part of our branch roll-out strategy is to build branches that reflect the environment in which they are situated and in so doing build emotional connections with the people we intend to serve. This is what we want to do with the people of East Legon,” the Managing Director of the bank, Mr Odun Odunfa, said at the opening of the East Legon branch.

He said First Atlantic Bank had so far opened three branches at Sakumono, Kotobabi and East Legon as part of a plan to open 10 branches this year alone in pursuit of an objective to build a global bank out of Ghana and that was being pursued with the adoption of a culture of service excellence throughout the institution.

“We are, therefore, bringing to East Legon and all the surrounding areas what we have branded as the Purple Experience, which is our distinctly different service delivery at every touch point,” he added.

Mr Odunfa stressed that First Atlantic Bank had partnered with six international remittance service providers, namely MoneyGram, Western Union, Ria, Small World, Transfast and Money Exchange to provide customers outside with options to send money back home to family and friends and for investment purposes.
