Liberty Shoes officially opens in Ghana

Liberty Shoes, the second largest footwear manufacturing company in India, has officially opened its first shop in Ghana.

The shop, which is located in the Achimota Retail Centre, boasts over 500 styles, are loafers, casual lacing and non-lacing shoes, formal leather shoes, sandals, sports shoes and slippers, among others

The Director for Sogha Limited, the official distributor of Liberty shoes in West Africa, Mr Bobby Sawliney, told the GRAPHIC BUSINESS at the launch that the company intended to open about 10 shops in Ghana within the next three years and also increase its styles to 800.

 

He also said the company was currently present in 23 countries, produced 50,000 shoes daily and had over 6,500 showrooms worldwide.

“We have faith in the Ghanaian market and we hope our extensive and wide range of shoes will appeal to the customers,” he said.

He added that the company’s aim was to offer fashionable and affordable footwear to men, women and children.

Also, he indicated, the shoes were made from acclaimed high quality raw materials and leather and the latest shoe manufacturing technologies.

Liberty, which is the largest listed company on India’s stock exchange, has 10 brands on its shelves, namely: Senorita, Tiptopp, Gliders, Fortune, Windsor, Warrior High, Prefect, Footfun, Force 10 and Coolers.  —GB
