Mayfair Owusua wins GCB Big Money Promo
A customer of GCB Bank at Tantra Hill, Ms Mayfair Owusua, is laughing to the bank this Christmas after she was presented with a cheque for GH¢300,000 for winning the ultimate prize in the GCB Big Money Promo.

At the final presentation of the prizes for the promo at the bank’s head office in Accra last Wednesday, a highly elated Ms Owusua, clad in a white apparel, could not have expected a bigger Christmas present as she walked with smiles to the podium to receive her new found wealth.
With such a cash prize, Mayfair was definitely on cloud nine, making it difficult for her to find the right words when she was called to make a statement.
She eventually uttered a few words to thank GCB Bank for introducing the promo and for using it to encourage many people to get on board the mainstream banking industry by opening accounts.
Six other winners of the last edition of the promo were also presented with their prizes at the event.
They include Angbonzan Siety and Gladys Appiah who were given 5KVA generator sets, and Wisdom Gidisu and Sampson Abrokwa who also won 1KVA generator sets.
The rest are Bernard Acheampong and Munu Bob Brown who were presented with a Samsung Tablet and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, respectively.
The promo
The promo was introduced by the bank in June this year to reward its customers and also encourage the general public to inculcate the habit of saving by opening accounts at the bank.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of GCB Bank, Mr Simon Dornoo, said the promo had helped to improve the lives of the 33 customers of the bank who won various prizes totalling about GH¢500,000.
According to him, the bank will continue to improve its relationship with its customers in order for them to maximise the return on their money.
The Head of Consumer Banking of the bank, Mrs Doris Wunu, said the bank, through the promo, wanted to show appreciation to their customers for their loyalty and support over the years.
“As the trailblazers in the banking industry, we will continue to lead the way in many areas and as usual our customers will be our first priority,” she added.
