New MTN CEO gets Manhyia 'blessings'
The new Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr Selorm Adadevor, on Friday paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.
The visit was to introduce the new CEO to the overload of Asanteman and to also seek his blessing as he begins his work as the new boss of the leading Telco in the country.

Speaking on behalf of Otumfuo, the Juabenhene, Nana Otuo Siriboe, thanked MTN for being generous to Manhyia Palace and the people of Asanteman and commended the company for improving the speed of the network from 2.5 to 4.5 currently in the country.
The Juabenhene praised the efforts of the outgoing CEO, Asante Twum for his stewardship at MTN which saw an improvement in the services of the company.
He wished the new CEO well and urged him to work to surpass the successes chalked by his predecessor to enable MTN to maintain its current status as the preferred network in Ghana.

In an interaction with the media after the meeting with the Asantehene, Mr Adadevor commended the people of Asanteman for being loyal customers of MTN.

He said the region remained one of the company’s strategic business locations in the country.
‘’It is a great pleasure having the opportunity to visit the Manhyia Palace and to pay homage to the Asantehene whose leadership has ensured his people patronize our products and services’’, Adadevor stressed.
Mr Adadevor cautioned the public against responding to text messages that they received from unscrupulous people requesting them to call a number to redeem their prizes.
Any number apart from the aforementioned that is used to call any MTN customer for either a prize or award is fraudulent, the new CEO stated.

"MTN would only send messages or texts through the 0244-300-000 number and it is good to caution the public not to respond to any other text or message from any number apart from this famous code of the company," Mr Adadevor said.
