The product, Nanofixit Liquid Screen Protector, was developed by Nanofixit Inc., based in the Philippines and Waves Group Inc. (WGI) is the franchise holder in Ghana.

The Nanofixit liquid coating has no glues or adhesives and bonds to the surface as a result of the quantum of forces involved to form an invisible protective layer that is approximately 500 times thinner than human hair.

The Chief Executive Officer of WGI, Mr Ernest Davids, at the media launch of the product in Accra last Wednesday, said one unit of Nanofixit Titanium could cost up to 10 phones or a couple of phones, a tablet, a watch, a computer and a camera.

He said the product was a good solution for anyone looking for an invisible protection for their devices.

“The liquid screen protector is an ultra-scratch resistant screen. The solution enhances the effectiveness of the camera lens and quality of pictures taken. It reduces finger marks and smudges and offers protection against water, humidity, oil and oil- based substances,” he said.

He added that it can also last for about two years.

Creating employment

The Minister for Private Sector Development, Mr Rashid Pelpuo, lauded the innovation and commended young entrepreneurs for their work.

He said the launch of the product would go a long way to boost economic activities in the country.

He urged the franchise holders to also consider setting up a production line beyond just the marketing of the product.

“In Ghana, what we want to do is not just to be marketing products but also producing them in Ghana and by Ghanaians. That is the solution to the many challenges of unemployment we have today”, he said.
