Stanbic Bank supports Onuapa Foundation
Stanbic Bank has presented a cheque for GH¢6,000, soft drinks and 20 boxes of water valued at GH¢4,000 to the Onuapa Foundation, a non-governmental organisation working to improve the livelihoods of elderly people.

It formed part of the bank’s outreach project aimed at supporting the underprivileged. It is expected to ease the financial burden on the NGO that is based in Somanya in the Eastern Region.
The Head of Personnel and Business Banking at Stanbic Bank, Dr Ernest Kofi Asimenu, explained that the gesture was to complement the foundation’s effort to provide medical screening for the elderly while giving members an opportunity to socialise.
Beyond the presentation, participants were screened for diabetes and obesity, and the women had their breasts checked.
Commendation
Dr Asimenu commended the Onuapa Foundation for the initiative to celebrate with the elderly and noted that the contribution of the elderly to society needed to be acknowledged, hence, the bank’s support.
For his part, the Chairman and the Founder of the foundation, Mr Blessed Ayisi, commended the bank for supporting the initiative.
“The foundation will continue in its quest to motivate the elderly and create a medium through which people can show kindness to them in the society,” he said.
