Twellium Industrial invests in new state-of-the-art plant

BEVERAGE manufacturer, Twellium Industrial Company, is to establish a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at its head office at Medie in line with its expansion plans.

The new plant is expected to help increase the company’s product line, which currently comprises Rush Energy Drink, American Cola, Verna Natural Mineral Water, Planet Flavours and Bubble Up.

The Managing Director of Twellium, Mr Mohammed Kwawtharani, said the new plant was expected to help produce a new product that would be introduced soon.

The plant will augment the company’s existing plants, which are the first of their kind in the sub-region.

It will also help create more jobs for people and add to the 500 permanent jobs that the company currently provides for people around the country

Twellium Industrial started operations in March 2013 as a beverage producer, using the franchise rights it secured from Monarch Beverage Company, United States of America (U.S.A) beverage manufacturer based in Atlanta.

The arrangement makes it possible for Twellium to use some of Monarch’s brand names in Ghana and West Africa while the USA-based company undertakes periodic audits of the latter are operations to be sure they are up to speed with international standards.

Success story

Although the company has been in operation for barely two years, its products are all over the country.

Mr Kwawtharani said this was due to the company's commitment to lay down rules and regulations in the food and beverage industry.

"In Ghana, we fully comply with the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) guidelines and that has earned us FDA Registration number FDB/14173.”

"The Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) has also testified and certified our products as quality and standard for the market," he added.

Going forward, Mr Muhammed said the company would continue to invest in its operations to meet demand while focusing on quality, which has been its hallmark.
