Bentsifi’s Tattle - A guy about town Highrise lobby

Now, that's the other thing. Pools are now all set on upper levels along with complete gardens and outdoor setting like they are on the ground. I'm standing here and looking around and there are all these high rises all around, with us cocooned in.

I had always thought I could stand it, being so surrounded by concrete, but interestingly, I am calm. Perhaps, it's because there are plants, palm and other green shrubs growing here, and also that the highrises are cladded by glass. The eventual effect is pleasing to the eye and really easy to be in.

Living in the skies

Kuala Luapur living is all living in the skies. It's amazing how much of their real estate is in the skies! There are way too many skyscrapers here. Of course, this is the city that boasts the world's tallest twin-towers! Tonight though, we are at the KL Tower, up at the 360° atmospheric revolving restaurant, 828 metres high in a purpose-built tower! Basically, if you wanted to climb up the steps to come up here, you"ll be looking at making some 2058 steps! Well, fitness fanatics do make it part of their work-out regime.

A fascinating place, there's live entertainment tonight. A lady singer and pianist doing some popular old ballads. And on the other side, which is all glass, you can see the city laid bare! And in the night eye, the lights give this place a magic as you don’t find anywhere else. The buffet is aplenty! And a good variety too!

Our bus journey took a little over an hour. We went out of town to meet with my brother-in-law, - with whom we had come on this trip - and his golf playing friends who today, were playing on the course at Awana Club up in the highlands north of Kuala Lumpur. Almost like their "Aburi", but far more developed than our Aburi.

Goodness me! There's even a cable car transport system further up the mountains that has just brought us to the Skylife resort with loads of shopping outlets and eateries. My, oh, my goodness gracious!! This is some serious development. I'm most impressed. And excited. And soaking it all in quietly.

Osu Night Market

Back home, I see the Osu Night Market is back on tonight! With the usual music, drinks and lovely food from the famous  night market vendors. There'll be special musical guests, and will include the National Symphony Orchestra that played at the event organised by the Jamestown Cafe within the ruins of the old but historic Franklyn House in Bukom. That was some event!

Let's meet at Osu Night Market tonight and encourage our own too.

And then tomorrow, meet me at the jollof event, Jollof Market at Serallio, near Papaye at Osu where there will be an array of tasty, mouthwatering jollof for patrons to enjoy. See you!
