This year’s is the sixth edition and is expected to attract culture lovers from across the country, as well as foreign tourists.

Theme for this year’s festival is ‘Spirit Robot.’ Last year’s event was marked on the theme, ‘African Electronics’ and it witnessed the largest turnout since the programme started in 2011.

An engaging aspect of the 2015 event was the performance art segment which paraded nude and semi-nude artists.

South African artist / photographer Dean Hutton, Italian artist Natascia Silverio and Ghanaian artist Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi challenged conventional values as they emphasised the human body’s role in art.

Hutton, for instance, moved along the streets of Jamestown naked with her hair painted in gold and a school bell tied to her waist by means of a rope.

Organisers of the festival say there would be lots of extraordinary artistic situations on offer for visitors.
