Here comes Sean Taylor

His style of ragga and powerful voice are the “tools” new dancehall artiste, Sean Taylor, believes he has got to sail through the tides of stiff competition in the dancehall fraternity.

Currently, he is promoting his 17 track CD which he says is not an album but just a “package” for Ghanaians to have a state of the stuff he is made of.

Some of the songs on the Promo CD are Free Up Jacob, Gyallis, Everybody bard, Cleanest people and Happy Time

The others are Transition, Akayida, End Time and Touch mi Enuh.

On Free Up Jacob which is a true life story, Sean Taylor sings about a close pal, Jacob, who was arrested for possessing marijuana.

Unknown to Jacob, he was set up by his friends out of jealousy and greed and Sean Taylor uses Free Up Jacob to tell the Police to conduct further investigation to unravel the truth because his friend is  innocent.

Sean Taylor told Showbiz last Thursday that Free Up Jacob is his favourite song because “it is from the bottom of his heart”.

Real name, Theophilus Tettey Taylor, Sean Taylor began his music career at the age of 13 as a hiplife artiste.  

 He said his admiration and quest to reach the heights of sensational Dancehall acts like Sean Paul and Sean Kingston influenced his adoption of the name ‘Sean’ which he used as prefix to his surname ‘Taylor’.

“I think I have a great future as my lyrics and style of ragga is quite distinct from the rest. When you find yourself in a genre that is flooded with great talents, you need exceptional skills and talent that is different and for me, my voice has always done the trick” he stated.
