Here comes Steve Frimps with Mashɔ o Naabu
It is the dream of every artiste for his works to live on even after death and that has been the motivation of upcoming artiste, Steve Frimps, who says he is working hard to be a point of reference when it comes to good music.
“Just as I look up to others for inspiration now, I hope the younger generation after me will also look up to me someday and this thought pushes me to work hard in all my endeavours.
“I have worked with the likes of Miss Frizz, Krataa and others who are also underground artistes and hope to breakthrough with my new song,” he told Showbiz in an interview last Friday.
“I always felt deep within me that music is what I wanted to do. I have been inspired by some of our predecessors who for decades have brought to us great songs that are timeless and I hope to follow in the same stead.
“I know that I have also got the talent to be a great artiste like Amakye Dede but it doesn’t come on a silver platter. It involves hard work and perseverance and I’m determined to hit it big too” he added.
As an artiste who has been underground for seven years, Steve Frimps believes that he is now mature to be on the big stage when he released his debut single, Wipe Your Tears, last year.
He is out with a new single titled, Mashɔ O Naabu, a slow but danceable tune. Recorded by Tims Studio in Aburi and produced by Jake the Snake, Mashɔ O Naabu talks about how some men disrespect women and think it is a privilege for women to accept their proposals.
He therefore entreated young men to respect their partners and not take them for granted “If the woman accepts your proposal, it means you are in her good books”he said.
Real name, Steven Frimpong, Steve Frimps has songs like Wipe Your Tears, Thema Go Back and Sa Azonto to his credit. He is currently promoting the video of Mashɔ O Naabu.
