It’s okay to do collabos with secular artistes - Perpetual
While some gospel musicians believe it is ‘ungodly’ to collaborate with secular musicians, others such as as Perpetual Didier see nothing wrong with that.
“I don’t see anything wrong with gospel musicians doing collaborations with secular musicians. I have done collaborations with Ackah Blay, Nero X, Akrobeto and I feel very okay with that” the gospel musician told Showbiz in an interview on Tuesday.
According to Perpetual who is known for songs such as Wahenzi Mmra, Baba God, Wontumi Nka Me Nnhye and Gye Wo Boɔ, getting her message across to the ordinary person is her major concern and not the artistes she features on her songs.
She explained that God is not selective which is why she will always feature a secular musician if the need arises.
To her, gospel musicians should not feel bad to team up with secular musicians regardless of what people will say.
“I believe by working together with secular musicians, a gospel musician builds a huge fan base because he or she ends up attracting followers of the secular musician in addition to his or hers” she said.
Perpetual Didier is out with her latest work, Krom Ayede featuring actor Akrobeto. On Krom Ayede recorded by Murder Track records, Perpetual praises God for what He has done for her.
According her, getting married and enjoying all the good things in life is the doing of the Lord.
Akrobeto comes in at the latter part of the song to sing about how he gets everything right.
Akrobeto claims he stands tall among his peers because he is always favoured by God.
