Nsemonee back with Odo Letter

He got some attention when he featured rapper, Guru, on his song, So Me Ha Nom, early this year  and it seems UK based Ghanaian artiste, Nsemonee, hopes to ride on that “achievement” to make himself relevant on the Ghanaian music circle.

And he does that with his new highife song, Odo Letter which explores some of the intricacies of love relationships.

The song produced by King Dee, is about the negative effects of long distance relationships and how parents are sometimes an impediment to an otherwise fruitful relationship.

It also raises important lessons such as being faithful to a partner and sometimes, the need for young people to appreciate their parent’s counsel.

He might have left the country many years ago but Nsemonee, real name, Nana Kweku Siaw Agyapong has not  forgotten his roots and he aptly showcases the rich Ghanaian culture in the video of Odo Letter, which is set to be released this month.

The video, which was directed by Mo Sambo features Kumawood actresses, Emelia Brobbey and Rose Mensah popularly known as Kyeiwaa. It narrates an interesting story of how peoples face opposition from their parents with their choice of partners.

In the video shot in some rural parts of Ghana as well as some parts of London, Emelia Brobbey rejects her dad’s decision to marry her off to a man who pays her bride price because she has promised to wait for her boyfriend who has travelled abroad to seek greener pastures.

“This song is to educate every young person to be cautious of some of life’s choices otherwise, we regret in the future,” he told Showbiz last week.

Nsemone hinted on his decision to feature more Ghanaian artistes on his upcoming songs as a strategy to make himself relevant here.
