The Mas Africa Band is set to ignite the UK’s carnival season with a burst of energy and colour this summer, spotlighting the electrifying Nothing Late Band (NLB) across a series of vibrant celebrations in Ramsgate, Hartlepool, Margate, and Notting Hill.
These highly anticipated events will brim with culture, music, and community spirit, drawing enthusiastic crowds from across the country.
The festivities begin on July 27 at the Ramsgate Carnival, held at Government Acre, Westcliff Promenade, where the Nothing Late Band will thrill audiences with dynamic brass performances, setting a joyful tone for the summer’s celebrations.
From 1st to 10th August, the Hartlepool Headland Carnival, located at TS24 ONX Moor Parade, will host daily performances by NLB from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. This free-entry event will also feature over 100 rides and attractions courtesy of Murphy’s Funfair.
The grand parade on 10th August will see the Nothing Late Band lead the celebrations, culminating a week-long showcase of music and community unity.
On August 3, Margate Carnival at Palm Bay–Westbrook will come alive with NLB’s pulsating rhythms, supported by vibrant parades, elaborate costumes, and community participation.
Backed by Kent County Council, Arts Council England, SEFK Social Enterprise Kent, and Fresh Electrical Solar, this carnival weaves a rich tapestry of African heritage and cultural celebration.
The season’s pinnacle arrives on 24th and 25th August at the world-renowned Notting Hill Carnival in London, where the Nothing Late Band will take centre stage during the massive street parade.
Known for their seamless blend of traditional African beats with modern flair, the band will electrify the streets with bold costumes, compelling performances, and an infectious spirit.
These events, supported by local councils and cultural organisations, celebrate the diversity, creativity, and cultural pride championed by the Mas Africa Band and the Nothing Late Band.
With free entry at Hartlepool and a wide array of family-friendly activities, organisers are inviting the public to join the festivities and immerse themselves in the dynamic celebration of African culture across the UK.
