Popular Accra-based radio presenter and Reggae musician, Blakk Rasta, is 50 years today.
Born Abubakar Ahmed on September 2, 1974, in Tamale to devout Ahmadi-Muslim parents, Blakk Rasta has made a significant impact in Ghana's music and media landscape.

He was recognised as the Best Reggae DJ in Ghana during his time at Happy 98.9 FM.
Renowned for his outspoken views on national issues, Blakk Rasta has produced numerous hit reggae songs, including "Barack Obama," "Kunchoko," "Robert Mugabe," "Gaafara," "Kwame Nkrumah," "Gaddafi," "Kofi Annan Says," "Serwaa Akoto," and "My African Queen."
