A student of University of Ghana, Christabel Akweley Lamptey has been crowned Miss Tourism Ghana2025 at this year’s grand finale which took place at the National Theatre on Friday, August 29.
Right from the introductory session, Christabel stood out with her persona and confidence. And she appeared to have caught the eyes of both judges and patrons with her first performance which involved formally introducing her region.
Christabel, though a Ga, represented the Ashanti region, per the rules of the pageant aimed at promoting cutltural and tribal unity.
Apart from taking home the ultimate crown, she also won Miss Fashion show, Miss Swim Wear, Miss Specific Tourism, Miss Swim wear and Miss Votes.
Benedicta Osekre took the second position with Davinna Owusu Kufuor and Monica Dede taking home the third and fourth places respectively.
Prior to the announcement of the winner and runners up, some contestants who stood out during the competition were also awarded. Miss Beautiful Hair (Benedicta Osekre), Miss Cat Walk (Benedicta Osekre), Miss civic/ personality (Monica Dede), Miss Culture (Benedicta Osekre), Miss Debate (Bridget Boadiwaa Fosu), Miss Eloquent (Davinia Owusua Kufour) and Miss Entrepreneur (Monica Dede).
The others are Miss Fitness (Benedicta Osekre), Miss Lead Ghana (Monica Dede), Regional Cook (Elizabeth Amarteyfio), Regional Costume (Monica Dede), Regional Representation (Bridget), Miss Speicific Tourism (Christabel), Miss Talent (Bridget) and Miss Votes (Christabel).
At the end of three sessions including a fashion segment, Bridget Fosuaa Fosu, Monica Dede, Benedicta Osekre, Davinna Owusu Kufour, Christabel Akweley Lamptey took the top five positions.

The Miss Tourism Ghana pageant has become an important platform for promoting Ghana's cultural heritage and tourism industry, while also empowering women and promoting sustainable development.
The event has positioned itself as a beacon for cultural promotion, national pride, and youth development through tourism and continues to provide an opportunity for the contestants to showcase their talents, beauty, and cultural knowledge.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the new queen, Christabel Akweley Lamptey thanked the organisers, and expressed confidence to be a good representation for Ghana at Miss Orient Tourism Global next year.
Last year’s winner, Lawrencia Ama Yeboah, won the second runner up title at Miss Orient Tourism Global pageant in Malaysia and Miss Lamptey is confident to improve on the feat by winning.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Miss Tourism Ghana Organisation, Mrs. Delphine Brew-Hammond, expressed appreciation to sponsors for supporting a worthy cause to promote Ghana’s tourism and culture.
