Princess Burland applauds young beauty founder she met at Women of Valour
Ghanaian entrepreneur and digital creator Princess Burland has credited the inspiration behind her support for a young beauty entrepreneur to the impact of the Women of Valour programme.
Burland recently used her platform to spotlight 12-year-old Nicole Obeng-McCoy, the founder of N.O.M.A Beauty, a small lip gloss brand she started herself, after meeting her during the London edition of the Women of Valour event.
According to Burland, the encounter became an inspiring moment that reflected the mission of Women of Valour to uplift and empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
She explained that after the event, Nicole’s mother invited her to their home, where the young entrepreneur shared her handmade lip gloss products and presented her with a heartfelt handwritten letter expressing gratitude and admiration.
In the letter, Nicole described her dream of becoming a successful beauty CEO and explained how she carefully creates each lip gloss with passion and intention.
Moved by the young founder’s determination, Burland shared Nicole’s story and products with her followers on social media, encouraging them to support the budding beauty brand. The post quickly gained traction online, introducing thousands of people to Nicole’s business and increasing the brand’s social media following from about 94 to over 3,000.
Burland, who is the founder of ventures including Diya Organics, Diya Studio and the upcoming Diya Beauty Supply, noted that her decision to highlight Nicole’s story aligns with the spirit of Women of Valour, which promotes empowerment, mentorship and community support.
Her gesture has since drawn praise online, with many commending the importance of established entrepreneurs uplifting young innovators and aspiring business leaders
