Speaking at the event, Cynthia Appiadu shared some memories of their tough times in the Ministry and expressed gratitude to God for the success of their career.
“This year marks 30 years since we came together as a group to spread the Word of God through music. When we started this journey, we never thought that a day will come that we will be celebrating our 30 years in the ministry.
“The road hasn’t been easy, I remember in 1992 we were supposed to perform at the album launch of Tagoe Sisters and on our way, our car had a serious accident but to the Glory of God none of us got hurt.
“We went straight to the hospital, they did a check up and we went to the show to perform. Through it all God has been faithful and good to us,” she said.
Cynthia Appiadu further disclosed that the celebration did not only mark 30 years of their being in Ministry but also their unflinching contribution to the careers and development of many Gospel musicians.
The Executive Head of First Insurance Company Limited, Mr Stephen Abebrese applauded Daughters of Glorious Jesus for their immense contribution to the music industry. He also urged Ghanaians to take active part in the celebration dubbed: “Glorious 30 anniversary.”
