According to DJ Shiwaawa who has been the official DJ for VVIP for the past two years, it is an honour to be part of the show.
“VVIP Sallahfest is an event everyone looks forward to each year when our Muslim brothers and sisters bring their fast to an end and having the opportunity to run that show again means I am doing something right,” he told Showbiz on Friday.
On his expectations, he said, “Nothing but a massive show. You know ‘djing’ is not just about playing music, it is about knowing the people and what to play. You need to study the reaction of the people when you drop a certain kind of genre of music, so we will be jamming to the best tunes on the day”.
In addition to VVIP, other artistes billed to make tonight’s show a memorable one include, Yaa Pono, Kwaw Kesse, Sarkodie, Ebony, Criss Waddle, Jupiter, Mzvee, and Adina.
Sallahfest is a flagship event organised by EXP Ghana, a marketing agency with over three decades experience in marketing and PR.
Sponsors for this year’s festival are Frytol cooking oil and Fortune Rice all from Wilmar Africa Limited, Onga, Kingdom Fruits, 4syte TV, MTN Ghana, Indomie, Zeex and the EIB Group.
