Ghana beats Naija
Last year, they did it and last Saturday, they did it again as the Ghanaian artistes billed on this year’s Ghana Meets Naija ‘defeated’ their Nigerian counterparts when they mounted the stage at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Guru, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Castro over powered Nigerian artistes Davido, Kcee, Whizzboy and Selebobo at the fourth edition of Ghana Meets Naija.
Even before the start of the show, many had predicted Ghana was going to win the ‘duel’ due to her lineup of artistes and that was exactly what
happened on the night. The GH atistes worked the audience from the beginning to the end of their
performances.
Probably the best act on the night, Sarkodie left the patrons screaming for more way after he had left the stage after treating them to a thrilling 30-minutes performance.
They just could not get enough of him as he performed songs like Dangerous, Azonto Fiesta, Pon Di Tin, Illuminati and Adonai.
Sometime during his performance, a fan of Sarkodie visibly awed by his presence could not help but jump on stage in a state of frenzy to embrace him. This gesture brought tears to the eyes of the rapper who was perhaps overwhelmed with the love shown him. This also got almost everyone in the auditorium dancing and singing along with him.
When Castro mounted the stage, he proved to his many fans that he is still the Destroyer. He did a rendition from his old tunes right to his new ones. He hit patrons with songs Do The Dance, Odo Pa, Toffee and Africa Girls. And when he brought on stage Kofi Kinaata to do his Odo Pa, he moved patrons more.

It seems Guru made a smart move by inviting comedian actor Lil Win to join him on stage. The ‘collaboration’ worked as patrons doubled up in laughter as Lil Win danced and sang alongside Guru. However, Lil Win’s glory was short-lived when he was stopped in the middle of his act after he had announced he had weed in the plastice bag he had on stage.
One Ghanaian artiste who the night didn’t go too well for was Shatta Wale.Since he was the last act, everyone expected him to bring the curtain down with a ‘killer’ show but that did not happen because he sang too many unpopular songs before introducing his hit songs.
And by the time he finished singing about three of his unpopular songs, the audeince who were already tired had started leaving the venue.
Apart from Davido who seems to have won the hearts of the audience, his other colleague musicians from Nigeria Kcee, Whizzboy and Selebobo did not really impress the patrons.
Davido’s Dami Duro, Skelewu, Gobe and Aye were well received however, he sang more of tunes that were new to Ghanaians and that took the shine off his show.
Kcee, Whizzboy and Selebobo spent little time on stage because they only had few hit songs.
The show started around 10 pm with musicians MvZee, Dobble, A.K Songstress and Edem. D J Black handled the consol and affairs was steered by Chris Attoh. Ghana Meets Naija is powered by Empire Entertainment.
