Ghana becomes OG Tee's music haven

POPULAR contemporary Nigerian musicians such as Mr Eazi, Patoranking just to name a few used Ghana as the launch pad for their careers. They shot to prominence, thanks to the massive support they received here, where they started.

So in a move reminiscent of his predecessors, budding Nigerian musician, OG Tee has relocated to Ghana to ‘further’ his music career.

The singer/songwriter whose real name is Ilobah Godwin Chuckwuebuka is determined to follow in the footsteps of his compatriots, who leveraged the Ghanaian music scene to project their careers.

And he has been at it with the promotion of his songs, My Best, Show Sample, Rotimi in Ghana since his arrival in the country earlier this year.

With his unique blend of Afrobeats, Highlife and Hip-Hop, OG Tee is quickly gaining a following among music enthusiasts in the country.

“I came to Ghana because I believe in the power of collaboration and the vast opportunities available here. Ghana has a thriving music industry, and I want to tap into that energy to take my career to the next level,” he told Graphic Showbiz in a recent interview.

OG Tee's tactical move to establish himself in Ghana is paying off, as he secures a coveted spot to perform at the prestigious Afro International Music Festival, scheduled for August 9-11 in Ada.

The festival will help throw the spotlight on OG Tee’s skills, connect with a broad audience, and broadcast his unique vision to the world as an exceptional talent from the continent.

“My music recounts my struggles, hustle, and personal growth, including heartfelt lyrics about broken relationships in songs like Used To Be My Dawg. I’m excited about this because it will create more opportunities for me,” he stated.
