Ghana to participate in Mr World 2014
For the very first time, Ghana will join a host of good looking men from across the world to discover the ‘World’s Most Desirable Man’ at this year’s Mr World male pageant to be held in Torbay, UK in June 2014.

The Mr World Ghana will be organised by Exclusive Events Ghana Limited, organisers of Miss World Ghana. Mr World is a division of the Miss World organisation.
Making the announcement last Friday, Miss Inna Maryam Patty, CEO, Exclusive Events Ghana, said “We are excited at the opportunity to once again pioneer and lead a novelty in pageants in Ghana.
“We are inspired by the trust reposed in us by the Mr. World Organization, and are hopeful of not only pulling off a successful maiden edition but choosing a worthy winner to complement our recent feat at the Miss World stage.”
She said to kick off what would be a yearly activity, auditions will be held in Accra on April 26 at Mahogany Lodge, after which the contestants will take part in a series of activities in the lead up to the final selection.
“The activities will include but not limited to photo-shoots, Corporate Social Responsibility pitching, fitness and sports challenges, to determine a winner.
“A formal announcement of the winner of Mr. World Ghana 2014 is intended for May 7, 2014. This year’s winner will tentatively leave Accra by May ending ahead of the June 15 world finals in London”, she added.
Touching on who is eligible to take part in the competition, Miss Patty said, “Contestants must be between the ages of 17 to 27 and Ghanaian. He must be articulate and proficient in both a local language and international language.

In addition, a tertiary level of education is preferable and he must be current on world events. He must be handsome, eloquent, talented, be photogenic and have a lean physique.
Would-be-applicants must also be willing to do community/corporate social responsibility work during their reign.
Miss patty added that prizes and other details for the maiden edition would be announced at a subsequent date.
