Not quite surprisingly, the said post attracted comments from followers with some questioning the reason for making his “revelation” known to the public without privately contacting Afua’s management.
“Yes o… I no like am kraaa… but if God reveals to redeem, then the essence of revelation is for redemption… so we shouldn’t panic but be grateful 🙏🏾😊” was his response to the queries that flooded his comment section.
At the moment, expectations are high for Asantewaa to reach and break the world record on Thursday morning.
The record is currently held by Indian Sunil Waghmare, who earned the milestone after singing for 105 hours from March 3 to March 7, 2012. (Related article Meet Sunil Waghmare, the current Guinness World record holder for longest singing marathon)
There are a lot of well-wishers on social media, notably among them is the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who wrote in a social media post, “Wishing Afua Asantewaa Aduonum all the best as she takes on the challenge of breaking the singathon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare.
“Your passion and talent shine brightly, and I am confident you’ll definitely make history. Keep shining your heart out. We are with you.”
